Exciting News: Three Ways to Create the Perfect Personalised Print

Exciting News: Three Ways to Create the Perfect Personalised Print

We're thrilled to announce something we've been working on for months: InkyPrintworks now offers three completely different design styles for your personalised prints.

Where we started

When we launched InkyPrintworks, we fell in love with the paint chart format. There's something wonderfully versatile about those neat rows of colour and text - they work for almost any occasion, any relationship, any theme you can imagine. And judging by your response, you agreed! We've loved seeing the creative, thoughtful, and sometimes hilarious ways you've used colour chart prints to celebrate the people and moments that matter.

What you told us

But here's the thing: as we talked to our customers, a pattern emerged. Some of you absolutely love the colour chart aesthetic - clean, colourful, modern. But others said "I love the personalisation, but could it look a bit more like...?" And that got us thinking.

What if we could offer the same creative freedom and personalisation power, but in completely different visual styles? What if you could choose the design that best matches the person you're celebrating - or just your own taste?

Introducing two new design styles

So we built them. And today, we're delighted to introduce:

Transit Map Prints

Inspired by the iconic London Underground map, these prints are perfect for showing life's journey. Whether you're mapping out career milestones, family connections, travel adventures, or the stages of a relationship, the transit map format brilliantly captures how we move through life - with all its stops, changes, and destinations.

They're particularly good for:

  • Anniversary or wedding gifts (the journey you've taken together)
  • Retirement celebrations (career stations and achievements)
  • Milestone birthdays (life's route so far)
  • New home gifts (the places that made you who you are)

Bookshelf Prints

For the book lovers, the story enthusiasts, the people who see life in chapters. These prints look like beautifully arranged books on a shelf - but each book spine is personalised with your text and colours.

Perfect for:

  • Readers and literature lovers (obviously!)
  • Commemorating favourite books or shared reading experiences
  • Family gifts (each book representing a family member)
  • Teachers, librarians, or anyone who loves stories
  • Wedding gifts (the chapters of your story together)

Same power, different aesthetics

We've also introduced a simpler way to build our classic paint chart prints.  You now have the option to simply edit the text in one of our classic designs; or if you like, you can still go 'full custom' and edit text and colours to your heart's content.

Here's what hasn't changed: every print - whether colour chart, transit map, or bookshelf - can be completely personalised with your own text. You still get our simple editing tools, beautiful colour schemes (or create your own), premium printing, and the option of stunning premium frames in a range of gorgeous finishes.

What has changed is that you can now choose the visual style that works best for your specific gift or occasion.

How to find what you need

We've also reorganised the shop to make browsing easier. You can now shop by:

  • Who it's for (Mum, Dad, Couples, etc.)
  • Occasion (Weddings, New Baby, Retirement, etc.)
  • Design style (Colour Charts, Transit Maps, Bookshelf Prints)

Each collection shows you options across all three design styles, so you can see what works best.

We can't wait to see what you create

We're buzzing with excitement about this. The colour chart prints will always have a special place in our hearts (and our product range!), but we love that you now have more ways to express what you want to say.

Whether you stick with colour charts, try a transit map, or opt for the bookshelf look - the most important thing is that your print genuinely captures what matters to you or the person you're celebrating.

So go ahead - browse the new designs, play with the personalisation tools, and create something brilliant.

As always, if you have questions, ideas, or just want to chat about which design might work best, drop us a line at hello@inkyprintworks.com. We're here to help.

Happy creating!
