Editing text with InkyPrintworks

Personalising your prints sits at the heart of the InkyPrintworks concept, so we've made it easy to edit the text in all our prints.  Read on for a simple guide to editing text - and some handy hints!

You can edit the print title, the caption of each colour box, and the optional message at the bottom of the print.  Get started by hitting the Personalise Design button:

From here, depending on whether you're using a desktop or mobile browser, things will look a little different:

To change the text in your print, simply pick the field you'd like to change on the left hand side of your screen, make your changes, and see them reflected in the preview image on the right hand side.  It's that simple!

Space is a bit more limited here, but the approach is very similar.  Tap the Personalize icon:

(if you can't see this icon, just tap the white space on the preview image of your print, and it should appear)

You should now see the list of text fields you can edit, and as you make changes, the preview image will update in real time.

Hints and tips

Don't use the back button or press the 'back to shopping' button unless you want to abandon your changes.  Yes, we know it's annoying and we're working to change it, but you need to add your design to your cart to save it.

Yes, it's true: the optional message text at the bottom of the print won't appear in your finished print unless you edit it

You can edit the size, colour and typeface of the text too.  To do this, tap on the text field in the preview image that you want to change.  In a desktop browser, you should now see the text editing menu bar at the top of the screen.  On a mobile device, you might only see part of the menu bar, in which case you need to click the > symbol to show the other icons.   The menu bar functions are as follows:
