Editing colours with InkyPrintworks

Personalising your prints sits at the heart of the InkyPrintworks concept, so it's easy to change their colours wherever you'd like.  Read on for a simple guide to editing them - along with some handy hints!

The first step is to hit the Personalise Design button:

Our personalise design button

From here, just click or tap the colour block you'd like to change, and you should see the colour editing menu bar appear.

The main button you'll be interested in is the 'Fill color' option, which opens the colour picker - see below.  That said, feel free to experiment with the other buttons to give the colour blocks borders if you like.

If you see it, please ignore the personalization button.  It doesn't do anything useful (yet), but it'll be useful for forthcoming products!

Picking colours

The colour picker starts with a simple set of colours to choose from.  Simply hit one of these and your colour block should become that colour:

If you'd like a bit more choice, just look a bit further down:

The upper section allows you to vary the shade of your colour precisely by moving the sliders.  The two lower boxes are very useful if you'd like to make sure a colour block is a specific colour - just type in the relevant hex code or RGB code here.

Hints and tips

Don't use the back button or press the 'back to shopping' button unless you want to abandon your changes.  Yes, we know it's annoying and we're working to change it, but you need to add your design to your cart to save it.

If you'd like to match a specific colour (for example, from a photo or logo), you can usually open it in a photo editor and use the colour picker function to find the colour hex code.  Just copy that and paste it into the hex code box above, and... hey presto!

Once you've finished your masterpiece, don't forget to hit Add to Cart!
